battery low

replaced battery on sunset 250. Seems to go down some when camper is plugged in. Had problem with last battery, blew couple fuses when I was charging it. Seemed to charge up when pulling camper. Could converter/inverter not be charging battery?

Most common is battery installed backwards. Blown fuses are a key signal, especially if they are the two big ones. Everyone thinks that Black is negative, but not on Crossroads. Like house wiring, Black is "hot" or Positive. White is neutral, or return, i.e. Negative. The sticker on the tongue telling me is hard to see.

Could have a bad cell in the battery. Or if water maintenance hadn't been kept up correctly the inside cells can swell and short out the battery. The shorted cell does not allow the battery to hold the required amount of direct current voltage.

Check converter output voltage. Should be around 13.8 VDC.
