had some problems with the heater this past spring. removed the heater and cleaned out the orfice it was loaded with rust when i was installing the unit one of the wires touched the metal cabinet of the heater and now the heater won't come on . i checked yhe fuses and can't find one for the heater does anyone know what fuse it is and should i be looking for 12vdc @ the heater what wires are from the thermostat

The fuse should be 12 V and in the converter panel. There might also be a fuse on the circuit board in the unit itself. I am not sure of the therm wire colors but they should be much smaller in size than the power wires (about 20ga - 22ga or so)
