I honstly can't remember if there was insulation in my back wall when I did the same mod a few years ago. I would be disappointed if there isn't but my memory is starting to fail me! Extra insulation that you are referring to is in the belly and consists of a mylar bubble pad about 2' X 3' X 1/2". The pads are placed throughout the belly above the membrane.

I was surprised that the wall was hollow, however with the three large windows it wont make much difference if some insulation is absent in the rear wall. Also the led tailights from command electronics are the best thing I could have done. The originals kept getting moisture and those little wires on the push in lights were always rusty and needed cleaning.

I wonder if you could squirt some of that expanding insulation foam up in there. It might help a little.

I would be ultra careful as the expanding foam could blow the wall apart. There are at least two types now as the old one would swell around windows and doors enough to bind the window or make the door not close properly.
