Need Suggestions for Hauling Services

Hi - Cathryn, again. Cost of a truck was prohibitive. Now looking for a reliable hauling service so we can get this unit back to our dealer in Texas from Grand Canyon. Any suggestions? (Decided to take all these leakage problems back to the source.)

Thanks!

You may want to contact Good Sam roadside Assistance 800 947-0770. I understand they haul campers to service centers every day. I'm sure they can line you up with someone.

Have you reached out to Cross Roads for some help/advise, or maybe even a closer service facility to you?

Just remember, you will be paying out a good chunk of money to get that thing hauled back and forth to TX. You might even come out ahead by paying for somebody to come to your site.

Just tossing some other thoughts out for you.

I have recommended independent service centers on several posts on this forum...Many of our members are not aware that an independent can be used for warranty work...

How do I do that? Wouldn't I have to have the trailer hauled to the factory in Indiana?

I hope this is ending up attached to the correct message. It is a reply to Lloyd. Thank you for your regular replies. I appreciate your help.

The nearest approved shops in this section of Arizona are a minimum of 300 miles away. Most of them are 800 miles away. The closer independent shops either to not do warranty work at all any more because of bad experiences with excessive paperwork for Crossroads authorizations and then having them rejected, or they might do the work, but I would have to pay up front. For me, this is a hidden problem with the general RV repair and towing system.

My daughter and I live in this unit full time. We do not have another place to live. We do not have a means of towing it ourselves. Yesterday, Crossroads told me that the best thing for me to do is to take the unit back to where we purchased it, because the warranty issues will be easier. Coach-net won't tow it because it doesn't have a problem with the axle or tires. We need a viable solution! Anyone driving to Texas with a truck that can haul 12,000 lbs?

The "weekend camper" title is just based on the number of posts you have made so far on the forum and not your status as a camper. If you want it known you can put full timer in your signature. Hope that helps.
