Quick question...

I have a Sunset Trail ST26BH Reserve Edition with the Super Booth Dinette, my question is should I lower it every time I travel or can I leave it inthe "open" position.

Thanks,

Yanik

We've never lowered our dinette table and never found any need to. We find it handy when we stop at a Rest Stop for a snack or drink. We've only ever lowered it, to makea bed for our grandson.

Leave it up unless you want to sleep on it.

The Sunset Trail isn't my first TT, and I had never lowered the table before.

However, the table in the Sunset Trail is made with a solid surface material, and it's sort of top heavy and the table is free standing with collapsible legs. On one of my first trips, the table was laying sideways in the dinette. Fortunately, it didn't break the table, or even worse I could see where it may punch a hole in the paneling, if it fell and jammed one of the legs into the bench part of the dinette.

So, the short answer is, with the Sunset Trail TT, we're taking the table down for piece of mind.

Sort of wish there were some way to anchor while traveling, but last place I would want to put a hole, is in the floor of my trailer, not knowing where wires, plumbing, water tanks, etc. are hiding out since the ST has a enclosed bottom.

Our new ST20ck has a strap for the table legs near the bottom. We were told it's okay to leave it up if you strap it before you tow. So far, 2 trips, no issues.

I also have a free standing table which the legs fold under. I share the opinion to have it secure in transit, but don't like to break it down each time either, so we turn it upside down and rest it on the love seat snugly wedging the table top in between where the back of the seat meets the bottom cushion...has worked every time and ready to setup. We have a 5th wheel and the sofa is in the rear.Edited by: Texas4
