Just a quick note. I shopped around and found you can buy these direct from Goodyear online. I hunted around for working coupon codes and found a couple that were 20 and 30% off. I bought mine in April and paid $483 installed at an approved local shop. I wasn't ready for tires just yet but jumped on that deal . I'll look for more codes to share.

Just checked Goodyear.com. They're running a 15% off deal right now. I recalculated my tires and their coming up $512 out the door installed. I recommend anyone looking for tires to check them out. Keep our Akron economy moving!

They're operating similar to tire rack. You pick your tires and select local installer, picking a date and time.

I ended up racking my trailer with jack stands, throwing the tires in the truck and having them mount them while I waited. The shops by me don't have the real estate to park my trailer.

Ordered five Goodyear Endurance tires today. Figured I should replace the spare also. Going to use my Castle Rock tires on my 5X8 trailer. At least I’ll get some use out of them and if they blow they won’t tear anything up. Well unless I wreck. I only haul my Polaris Ace on the trailer, so hopefully I’ll be ok. At least I’ll get some piece of mind with the new tires on the 5er.

New to the forum.. Best place to find out the truth on things. We have a 2017 240rl 5er already had one China bomb blow out at around 700 miles. Putting on Goodyear Endurance tomorrow morning in Tulsa OK for $605.00 total taxes and fees everything. Oklahoma has this nice fee they add even if you keep the old tires. The good thing about reading the posts here is we all have or may have the same problems or issues, thanks for the new guy learning curve on RV ownership. It will be great to look ahead instead of in the mirror to see if the tires are still there.

Welcome to the forum!

I highly suggest getting a tpms too. I have the TST 507 flow through on my trailer. Very easy to install and program. Good customer service when I did have a problem (was actually something I was doing wrong) when I called. If you do get this, make sure you have your tire center install metel valve stems. If you leave the rubber ones in, the centrifugal force and extra weight will split your valve stems....

I have learned not to go over 3 years on a set of tires, have never had one to blow out

So I was going to order my Goodyear Endurance tires through Goodyear but my local tire shop ordered five (Including spare), took my Castle rocks off and put on all five Goodyear’s and balanced for $625 out the door.

you done good on that tire deal. Papa-T. I put 1260 miles on my goodyear endurance one way to N.M. and then 1260 back home 2 weeks later. I can say without a doubt that the goodyear endurance tire was a smoother and easier pull than the castle rocks and another thing I did not worry about having a blowout on the way back home. Have Fun!

Just purchased 4 Goodyear Endurance tires yesterday at Discount Tire after a blowout in the middle of a 300 mile trip on Saturday. I'll have them installed on Saturday as I head out on my return trip home.
They gave me 2 rebates forma to submit, one for $60 and 1 for $50. They also gave me $10 off per tire and half price on the certificates. After reading about spare tires exploding, I think I'll buy the 5th one now.0728181640.jpeg

Make sure you keep them up to max pressure and invest in a Tire Pressure Monitoring System!

Those rebates are only if you use their credit card, right?

You get a $60 rebate if using DT credit card, $40 if not using DT card. You can request the rebate online at DT website.

Update here. I had bought 4 Endurance back in April direct from Goodyear when the they had the 20% off deal. It was $121 out the door mounted.

I will say the Goodyear direct order process was painful. The installer didn’t get the order for over a month despite Goodyear telling me the tires were there. That said. Be aware.


After reading this thread I ordered a replacement one for my spare. Goodyear.com didn’t really have any deals (expired July 31) however simpletire.com. had 109.99 out the door no tax free shipping to the house. I’ll have a local garage mount for about 18 bucks. I know the guy so I’ll probably pay a little less since it is a spare. Not the same deal from April but I’ll have piece of mind on the spare. Thanks everyone on the thread for the awareness.

Also.

I did research and most of the info out there recommended not balancing since trailer tires carry the load different than a vehicle. Of course the guy at the local shop that Goodyear sent my tires didn’t know differently. I had to interrupt him during the process to tell him no balance on the order.
