Newbie here. I have 2 questions

I have a 1998 34' Carri-lite 5th wheel.

the lights on one half of the trailer are not working. I was hoping someone could give me some clues as to where to start trouble shooting this issue. I don't believe it is the truck since we didn't have any issues with our older 5th wheel last weekend. There is an automotive fuse box inside the pin box. 5 of the fuses are labeled general purpose, but the others are water pump and jack motor. We are going to check these for blown fuses today.

2nd question. We have a 4" pvc pipe that runs across the bottom front of the trailer. It is capped on both ends, but has holes drilled in it. I don't know if this was something added on later, but I can't figure out a possible use for it. Does anyone have any clues?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Check and clean the 7 pin plug for corrosion.

The 4" tube sounds like it is the sewer hose carrier. One of the caps must come off to remove and place the hose back in.

Yep I agree about the sewer hose carrier. One end or both will screw off. And could be the 7 pin plug or a fuse like you said. Let us know what you find.

The sewer hose is in the back bumper, but I guess it could be for that. It looks pretty clean though.

The holes drilled in it are for letting left over water from the sewer hose to drain out and so it won’t smell. Its better to carry in there then the back bumper because the sewer hose can get holes rubbed in it inside the metal bumper.

Thanks for the replies, I will let you know how it goes with the lights.

I just discovered that some damage in the back is more extensive than I thought. One side of the ladder is not anchored to anything other than the roof material itself. It has been leaking and the roof is really soft on the corners. I need to figure out how to fix that.

Fixed light problem.

The problem with the lights turned out to be a burned area on the 7 pin cord. Not sure what happened, but someone just taped it up.
