Our Sierra has the same thing. We were told it is a sensor for a optional 2nd AC (which we did not get). When a bedroom AC installed, then that sensor would control it from the panel by the steps.

I also hate the sofa bed (ours does have the bed). It is more comfortable unfolded as a bed than it is to sit on as a sofa. I want to replace ours also. Love the floor plan, hate the sofa.

Ours is at the shop having the motor replaced now. They say our motor was really weak and was not powerful enough to startthe big slidemoving. Thank goodness for the Good Sam warranty.

We have the Dodge 2500 with the mega cab. It isn't the best looking interior but it is comfortable, both front and back. We have driven 12 hours and it was fine. The seats seem to "fit" us better.

We love our rear kitchen and have not had a problem. Things do roll around if not packedright but that is to be expected. If you plan on doing any real cooking, the rear kitchen is the way to go.
