move the back panel and look to the left
Onavatte, We have the same year and model Cruiser. This is what we found on our 1st attempt to winterize: Under the kitchen sink was a panel that hides the plumbing, unfortunately this panel covered the water heater access located on the left. So, we relocated the back panel as far back as possible. The panel to the left where the water heater is located has now been modified with a hinged door that allows us easy access to the water heater valves. (Easy if you have arms 5 feet long)
There were two valves associated with the water heater; the lower ISOLATION valve directs water to the water heater inlet (the heaters lower orifice), the top valve is the mixing valve and is closer to the water heater outlet (the top water heater orifice). With these valves turned in the proper position you are ready to winterize and NOT dump 10 gallons of antifreeze into the water heater. ALL THIS IF the inline check valve at the water heater outlet is working properly!!
We have a drawing on that water heater access door as to what position these valves need to be in for winterizing.
Today we are replacing the inline check valve again; if it fails again we may be installing a swing-check valve.
You may also want to increase the length of the water pump siphon hose so you can more easily use it.
Good luck.
