adding solar system

Hi Ya
I want to put my own solar system in and I need some help. Years ago I lived off grid and put my own system in and it worked well. However,in my Seville by Crossroads, we have a 50 amp service and it is spooking me somewhat. I want to put a 4000 watt split phase inverter/charger in. Will this work plugged into my shore power receptacle? Or through an automatic prewired transfer switch? I think it is the split phase thats putting me on edge. I have contacted an installer in case I don't get comfortable, Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers......Finlay:

I'm sorry, I can't resist this.
What object are you using for the sun? And what objects are you using for the planets??

Let me explain it to you.. To me, a solar system is the sun and it's planets. That's the humor. It's not a sarcastic remark, it's a play on words. Does the explanation help??

Sorry for being a little sensitive, I see what you are saying now. I have been trying to put this in place for some time now and getting a little impatient. Its like going to a restaurant, too many choices. Thanks for the humour.

Cheers
