I replaced my rear wall from the bumper to the roof connection.
I used Stabond Adhesive, somewhat expensive about $300 a gallon. Adhesive was recommended by a RV Tech and is some typer of adhesive used for aircraft. No problems with it so far. I did use Bondo on over the screw holes and imperfections, that will show through the filon. I used the old filon as a template to cut out the holes, in the plywood, for the clearance and brake light wires. When you put the filon on, you'll be able to see where the holes are underneath the filon. Then I cut the filon as needed. I purchased the filon from RecPro.
I used a 1/4" plywood I picked up from Lowes as the underlayment.
Clean all your aluminum trim good, I scraped the old silicone off and wiped it down good with, I can't remember if I used acetone, paint thinner or mineral spirits. Seems like a monumental task but they cleaned up for reattaching. I'm lucky that we are on a farm and can keep it in a barn while working on it.
We've put about 12k miles on it since, with no further problems, ready to repack my bearings.
