It's going to be a couple of more weeks before our 5vr comes out of the storage lot.
The installation of the drawers was relatively easy but there were a few rough spots. First I had to remove all the existing drawers so that I'd have some room to work, which wasn't much. I basically copied the framing method for the existing drawers. In the first picture, you'll see the vertical supports for the back of the slide rails. I bought the longest rail available and think that they were 27" long. The drawer boxes are same length as the rails. In order to mount the vertical supports, I screwed a length of 1x2 into the floor and screwed the verticals to it. For the top of the vertical support I screwed a 1x2 shim into the under part of the counter.(see picture 2) This was the hardest part of the project, because of the contorted position I had to get into in order to screw the shims and screw the vertical supports to the shims. Measurement from the front of the cabinet is important but the rail support at the rear gives you a little room for error but not much. Picture 3 shows the completed installation. I deliberately made the front of the drawer boxes lower than the other three side so that we'd have hand room to pull them open because I did not intend to put handles on the drawers.
