Macerator waste pump kit
Hi. My first year on a seasonal site. Beautiful spot right on the water, and it has a sewer connection😁. However..........the sewer pipe is about 2' higher than my waste pipe, hence the title of this thread.
Does anyone here use one? What brand? Pros/cons? Or did you use something else? Any help will be appreciated.

The drop on your trailers waste pipe is relatively standard, meaning if you're having to go uphill on that sight, so would just about anybody else. Rather than drop a couple hundred dollars on yet another RV appliance, maybe ask if the campground take do something with the waste connection since you're seasonal there. Just my two cents.

Agree - sounds like a park problem...
and while Sani-con is built into our coach,
I basically don't use it and would rather the ole 3" slinky in that there is more 'whosh' when you open the gate valve, evacuating everything a bit better...

I don't think I have ever run into that. Normally they are at ground level or slightly above. Are all the sewer hookups in that park 2 ft. off the ground?
If so, I'm curious as to their reasoning for having them that high. Might not hurt to ask about it.

I've run into this a couple times. I put up with it for a night traveling, but if I had a seasonal I'd be giving them heck to fix it.

They may be located in a flood prone area and are told be the township to keep them a bit high??? Maybe?

We've been to several that are flat or run a bit uphill, haven't seen or been to one that was at ground level in a long, long time.. Spent all winter with it running slightly uphill with no problems, just ran plenty of water when draining. I've noticed a lot of motorhomes set very close the ground & most just use the 3" hose.

Thanks for the replys. Some background: my site is right on the lake. Normally they aren't allowed to have sewer hookups unless they actually have sewers, but this site used to be a summer house once, with a septic system. That's why we have the sewer, but it's high due to original layout. All other sites with full hookups have the normal, ground level drain hole.
Anyway, I bought a macerator pump setup and it works just fine. So now I can sit back and enjoy he view😁
