Sewer hose tube install

I have a Supertube sewer hose carrier to install on my trailer. The simplest install seems to be attached to and under the bumper, but the best spot might be behind the wheels forward of the sewer outlet under the frame. For those wiser than me, what would the pros and cons of each be and what is the best method of attaching to the undercarriage? Sheet metal screws directly into the frame?

Placement is for convenience and where it will NOT be subject to grounding...
so close to the wheels is a good place !

I have seen them held on with screws, metal straps, and even these.

My opinion is don't mess with the frame in that the mfg's design them to the minimum tolerances needed (IMHO)

I bolted on a metal fence post across the frame. And then used ss clamps to hold the sewer hose carrier onto the metal fence post.

I used a 4 inch pvc tube with screw on ends. I used metal strapping and used the bolts already drilled in the frame. It has been good and I like it better than a tub in the basement or the rear bumper.

I used stainless steel straps to attach mine to the frame in front of the axles.

OK, stupid question: I look under the trailer and it is enclosed-do I cut through to expose the structural beams, or is there some way to remove the enclosure without cutting?

Screw into the bumper or strap it just behind the bumper on the supports? If it scrapes there you are probably towing to the extreme. I wouldn't open up the coroplast unless I absolutely had to. IMHO.

I have seen someone use a PVC fence post strapped to the bumper. The advantage of this over a tube is you can store the sewer hose with the fittings attached. This is something we are considering. (Just haven't got to it yet.)

The Supertube holds a Rhino Flex 15' and all of the fittings inside-that is why I bought it. The bumper storage is too small, and the rust and abrasion from the bumper has my original Valterra hose springing up pin holes.

I refuse to put anything sewer related in the storage area. Right now, I have the sewer hose in the bumper, and the hose fittings, gloves, and black tank flush hose in an old backpack snugged against the spare tire.

Tim, I agree, I don't want to compromise the coroplast. Looks like I might be hanging it from the bumper.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

You can un screw the coroplast and look underneath with out hurting anything. I did that to see where the kink in the water lines were . Just screw back up and tape anywhere you have to cut.
About the sewer hose in the bumper , I just cut a piece of plastic that is used to cover a flouresent light figture that I had in the garage to 3 3/4" and slid it into the bumper and the hose sits on top of the smooth plastic and will not wear out the hose...alot easier that building another hose holder.
While I was a it , I added a piece of screen to the end caps to stop bugs from getting in.

Can you strap it on top of the bumper? Like behind the spare? Just a thought...

The bumper is almost flush with the rear wall, so the only viable spot to hang from the bumper is below. The spare tire hangs below the bumper.
