Is Crossroads still having problems with the axles not being properly aligned or have they corrected the issue?

I haven't heard of aligment issues. I have heard and experienced issues with the axle coming loose twice, and others alongwith myself have had itwhere the axle ends have crushed, which I feel is the cause of things getting loose.

I have had 3 crossroads products in the last four years and I'm not aware of anywidespread problems with axles. There have been a few but what manufacturer hasn't?

No problem with alignment as far as I can tell, only have about 3,000 miles on it but no noticable tire wear. However, I did check the torque on the axle u-bolts and found that ALL of them were loose, some just above finger tight. Would highly recommend regular checks to make sure axle bolts are torqued to specs.

While Crossroads has made every attempt to correct this issue, they can't and don't have control over the sub-OEM mfgers that supply the axles. It's my understanding that Crossroads made Ak-Lo come clean, but Lipert is another problem. I've also been advised that Lippert is a real PITA to deal with, especially when warranty is close to expiring.

As I stated before, on my next new unit purchase, I will have it in the deal (contract) that the unit's axles areinspected by a reputable truck/trailer axle shop and certified before I drive it off the lot.

Also, anyone contemplating buying a previously owned unit should seriously consider having the axles checkedbefore agreeing on a deal.

This is going to an extreme, but it's theonly way I see to correct a problem that has been going for over ten years.

And - Yes,we wereone of those that had bad axles right off the bat. Luckily we found the problem after a 2500 mile trip about three months after taking delivery.
