As much as I like the Sidewinder on ours I have been thinking about running an add and trying to find someone with a SWB truck that has a MorRyde or Demco Glide Ride hitch that would trade out with me for my Sidewinder. I just don't need the Sidewinder with my LWB truck. That might be my Spring/Winter project.

I have the Reese Elite 18k Slider in a F250 witht the 6.5 foot bed. Mainly use the slider for backing up the driveway. Do love having the full bed when the hitch is out of the bed. The only sticky point for me is putting the cotter pin in the lock pin to keep it from sliding.

I have the Curt Q20 slider---works great. I use the slide almost every time I back, better safe than sorry. 6.5 bed 305SK. Happy to say my truck still has the original rear window in place, at $200 to $400 a pop why chance it. Brother has a fiver with same size bed and said there has been a few times he wished he had a slider, he noticedhis trailer getting real close to his window a couple of time and manged to get stopped but it's just one more thing he has to watch for when backing--I slide it back and pay full attention to trying to get into the site.
