I have heard conflicting stories about the gray water tank on the Cruiser Patriot 305sk. The tank size is listed as 80 gallons. I have heard that it is one big 80 gallon tank, and also have heard that it is 2 - 40 gallon tanks. Does anyone have one and can tell me what the facts are? If its 2 tanks, do they share one drain or is there 2 drains? Does one fill up and have to be dumped, or do they connect somehow?

There are two separate 40 gallon tanks, one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen sink. Each has its own, separate dump valve and its own set of level indicator lights on the control panel. Hope this helps.

They all dump from the same exit point, but each will have its own pull valve in the storage area. Don't count on the pull valves to be labelled correctly, mine are not.

Thanks for the info. I see in the brochure all the Cruisers are listed as 80 gal gray water. Are they all set up with the2 tanks? Pros and cons??

I added another gate valve at the main dump location. This not only gave me another valve to act as a safety valve in case one of the other three failed but also allowed me to have a way to join the two 40 gallon grey tanks into one 80 gallon when dry camping. It seemed the shower tank always filled faster than the kitchen tank.

DeputyDog.....Being computer challenged, I have never learned how to post pictures here but if someone else doesn't, email me and I will send a couple. Essentially what I did was to cut off the fitting that the blank cap snaps onto, glued on a threaded male adapter (ABS) and bought a threaded dump valve and screwed it on. The valve already had the tabs to snap on the blank cap so that was it. Done!

I am picking up my unit from storage next weekend. If you still need a pic, I can provide one. The valve that I used was basically like a coupler. I just cut the line before the last fitting where the little tabs are and stuck it in between. A little glue and left it a few hours to dry.... thats it. I got the valve for nothing but the price tag on it was 15 bucks I think.

I believe Camping World and other suppliers sell an adapter that snaps on to the tabs on the end of the sewer pipe that has a slide valve and a hose connection for backflushing. This should accomplish what you need. Can't remember exactly what it is called maybe someone else does.

When I did my mod for this, I saw the snap on valves like Old Farmer posted in his link. I did not want to trust the plastic tabs to hold back the waste water which is why I decided to go with the threaded style. I was worried the tabs would break off especially when trying to hold back 70 to 80 gallons of grey water. It may work fine but I didn't want to risk it. The other nice thing about threaded is that if the valve ever does fail, it is an easy unscrew and replace task.
