Low Freon. Perhaps there is a leak in the line(s)?

I was told by a HVAC guy, to remove the A/C cover and be sure the cooling vents are clean and all drain holes are unclogged. If so then keep the trailer closed up (all windows and roof vents) during high humidity / temp days. Still have issues maybe issues with unit itself or thermostat.

edit post with A/C cover

Thanks for all the advice,Think maybe i'll call Dometic tomorrow & see what they have to say,It only happened 3 times & it was hot & humid & cool at night,Is it nomal when you turn off the ac to have a bunch of water run off your trailer?Don't remember that happening with are other trailer.Runs down the back window,Thanks

Ice on the evaporator is caused by either low freon, on low air flow. Make sure your fan is running fast. Once the ice starts it just gets worse.

"Is it nomal when you turn off the ac to have a bunch of water run off your trailer?"

Yes it is. Both our AC units do it so I always try and have the door side just a little higher than the other so the water drains to the side we don't spend any time on. Down here in the Summer as hot and humid as it gets when the AC shuts off it looks like a waterfall coming off the roof.

Thanks Robbie Ribbins & Hunter 11,I seen a trailer that had a shield or gutter that ran across the top ofthe back window to stop the water from draining on the window,Don't know if you can buy them or a home made job. Thanks again

You may also check the vent right at the ac unit at the ceiling. Try closing it up a bit the ac can short cycle and pull the cold air into the evaporator and cause icing. Raising the set temperature may also help. Ice will build if the ac is run at a low outside temperature or if the evap is plugged whichI doubt in a new unit.
