I responded to a post on Owners Club-Want to buy a Crossroads RV ? I decided that I may get more info on the Crusier forum.
We have a 07 Crusier 29RE 5vr and have loved it. We are ready to upgrade and are dealing on an 09 CF30SK. Wethink we aregoing the Patriot edition forwe really like the 16 inch wheels, 50 amp service, power rear jacks, roto flex pin box, corian counter tops w/stainless steel sinkand insulation upgrade at no additional cost. One catch is that we have been told that we are unable to makesome of our own option additions to the Partiot edition. Can't get the Fantastic fan in kit but dealer will do the install for us w/remote control. Does any one have any advice on the CF30SK or the Patriot edition? We really do like the floorplan and the enclosed bathroom. We are dealing with Jayhawk Camper Sales in Shawnee, Ks. They did us a good deal on our 29RE.

You will love the 2009's. I am impressed with the continuos changes and upgrades Crossroads does to their products year after year.
I think you'll be pleased, the 2009's comes standard with the EqualFlex which gives a real nice ride on the trailer. To be honest we ordered the hard wired Fantastic fan but wouldn't do it again, it is a cheapened version with no reverse. I plan on installing a Maxxair vent fan in the master bedroom. The low profile lid combines a cover and a high speed fan into one unit. While a bit pricey the quality is great and we had one on our previous SB that we used the heck out of.
Good luck!Edited by: mwebber78

Thanks Michael, we appreciateall adviceand insight. We are getting excited about a new 5er all over again. It is a nice unit and still towable as we travel in the mountains alot. We are pulling with an 05, GMC 2500 Durmax and have had no problem pulling passes. Edited by: jjriff

jj...i think you will really like the SK..we have ours...I would get the maxxair..low profile and reverseable with thermostat control...we have 3 of them in our sk..(bedroom, living room and bathroom)....worth the extra cost....we would really like to upgrade to the patriot sk as well...but we'll have to wait for a while.... ...the sk pulls really nice...enjoy...

Jren, we are just trying to catch up with our rich friends in Colo. Should have gotten one of those great big 3 sliders in the first place like they did.

The 30SK is a great choice. If you're going to order one, ensure that you have the larger fridge, water tank and A/C unit on your wish list. We have a 2006 CF30SK and we also got the extra insulation, a second chair and side awnings for all three sides as well the previously mentioned items. We are very pleased with the overall fit and finish. We've made a few personal changes to suit our needs.

Thanks! We are ordering the Crusier CF30SK, Patriot Edition. Our dealer will be doing a number of upgrade/option additions for us which are not available on the Patriot. We do haveall of the items you mentioned on the list. When we ordered our current 07 29RE, we picked up a number of the better options and really love them. We are waiting to pick the upholstery now because Patriot does have several different patterns available. Looking like the end of February for delivery. Edited by: jjriff

Just a question for the CF30SK owners. We like the floor plan, but don't like the fact the awning is so short! We spend a lot of time under the awning of our CF27RL and sometimes it isn't long enough.
Do you find yourself wanting more awning space?

Yep! But you could purchase one of the 10x10 or 12x12 portables. We also usually travel with friends and when possible, we'll even get canopy to canopy which gives a lot of room.
Just love the other benefits of the 30SK so much, the canopy isn't that big a deal.

The shorterawning was a concern but we also liked the other benefits of the 30SK. We currently have a CF29RE (2 slides) which has an extremely longawning the full length of the 5er. We also have a 10 X 10 portable canopy (with a big Jayhawk on it) we will take along whenwe take delivery of our NEW 30SK in mid March. We decided the floorplan and other benefits of the Patriot 30SK was too much to pass up.

I'm not certain just how readyI am to mess with the 50amp service and power cord. I understand they are heavy, stiff and hard to coil. We will see!!!

Are you sure that big rig will fit beside your house? You can always do some weightlifting and get ready for that cord.

Hi Albert! No I am not!! I may be looking for some help some night to move my fence over a couple of feet into the neighbors yard. Maybe some HVAC dude could help convert it back to 30amp!
Take care and maybe we can make it to the lake this year. We love your spot! Edited by: jjriff
