Wow,
Looks like a few are planning Yellowstone. It's true if you haven't made reservations yet your running out of time. This year looks like it will be a normal year for opening. Alot of snow last year caused some problems. Mid June and early July are great times to visit. It's been my experience to see more wildlife and the babies sure are cute.
The biggest mistake I see is that people don't take enough time. If you plan to see most of the attractions in Yellowstone and also want to see the Tetons, it will take at least a week.
One of the reasons I suggest those coming from the east enter the park from Montana is that if your coming with or in a rv, you can travel lite. You can stock up on supplies in Billings, Livingston, Bozeman. My choice would be Billings. Be sure to fill up propane and fuel tanks and as a side note there is no sales tax in Montana. You will pay a sales tax in West Yellowstone but they really call it a resort tax. Top off fuel before leaving the freewaytowards the park. It is expensive to buy anything in the towns around the park.
Remember to bringsome warm clothes and a jacket. Sweats are a good choice since they'reeasy to put on or off. Cheap rain poncho also.
Hopefully, a few helpful hints and seeingthere are a fewplanning to go, it's probably better if you PM me with your questions.
Brian
