Hail damage replacement parts

We had a hail storm come through the other day and my trailer received some damage to vents, awning and the bottom shroud that runs along the sides of the trailer below the fiberglass. Actually, not sure what this part is called.

Replacing the vents and awning does not appear to be a problem but the aluminum shroud, which is approx. 20" high and 25" long does not appear to be in the parts manual. The RV dealer feels that because of the age of the trailer this part would no longer be available from the manufacturer.

Has anyone know of a source for this type of trailer part.

Did you try Trekwood? I was looking at ordering them from there a year ago (before I decided to live with it).

Thanks Matt. At least I know the part is available. Not sure if the brown color would match mine. If it doesn't then I have to see if they would replace both sides, ha! I would imagine the biggest cost would be in the shipping of something like that to Canada. I will have to leave that part up to the Insurance company.

If you go to their site, you can specify the year and make. I looked up my camper (a 2015) and this matches mine.

This might take you to the page for a 2014.

Looks like there are two colors.

Shopping was a killer, but if you need it . Probably worth it.

Thanks again Matt. I checked it out but noticed that there is a NLA (NO LONGER AVAILABLE) on this item. There may be others that still carry this year product.

That's too bad.

I know when I was looking before, people were suggesting that an auto body shop should be able to paint match it.

@Yakherder, that piece is easily fixable as I fixed mine after someone backed into it. Of course it helps when you used to do bodywork. I did all the metal finishing and sent it to the bodyshop my wife works at in Winnipeg to get it finished and painted. The painter did a perfect match on my 2013 ZT260BH.
If it’s just hail it will be pretty simple to fix.

You may try a RV place that does body work. Had one fixed and it came on a roll and after they cut to length the put the J curve in to it with a machine. They had several deferent colors. Now this has been a few years ago so things may have changed.

Thanks everyone for the input. There seems to be a number of options here. I know a body shop that took a similar ding out of my truck door. It was a lot worse than the hail dings in my trailer skirt. They massaged it out and there was no need to paint. The guy at the RV said that the skirt was too thin to do that with but then again he is not in autobody.

This could also be as simple as getting the aluminum on the roll and have it moulded like they do eavestroughing.

Still waiting for our Provincial Insurance (MPIC) to get back of strike for them to set up an appointment.

I'll be back with the answer.

Well, thankfully, my Autopac Insurance paid for the repairs caused by the hail. The total cost was close to $9000 with a $750 deductible. New roof, awning and skirting along the sides.

Hopefully will make it down the Oregon Coast this summer.

Thanks all, for the input on this.
