thermal cutoff

Hi all,

Having problems with the thermal cutoff on my water heater. Always trip.

Thanks for some solutions.

Take the thermal switch off and check to see if the ends are corroded. If they are lightly sand them to remove any rust. Use a continuity tester to check to see if it is not broken. If no continuity replace this part. If there is continuity reinstall and see if it works. If still not working look further for the problem. It could be dirty orifice in the gas line, or .......
