Stan -- Fort Wilderness will probably be 2015. Saveing all the longer trips for after my retirement. Nothing etched in stone, just know it is one of the destinations we want to see. Nashville is another. Would love to have company on the trip. I am sure it wouldn't be toooo hard to talk Tony and the crazy lady (Nancy) into comming also.

Aileen -- Thanks. I am not too good on the computer, and equally not good at reading directions. I have to see it done to learn. ADHD is a quirky thing. I've been trying to get a picture of Rosie and yours truely on our signature. If you look at the signature you will see I haven't quit figured it out yet.

Let's talk about cookin'!

I expect to be there for breakfast on Friday and the rest of the day. I anticipate bringing my grill, smoker, or both. I'll be there all day Saturday. Essentially, I'm camping, but not bringing the 5er. I leave for TX at 4:00 Sunday AM. Deb will probably join us for dinner on Saturday and we'll leave right after dinner.

So...what are we cooking?

If you pull your hair out, just wear a hat so you don't traumatized the others. I don't want to be treating PTSD in October!

We will do scrapple and bacon for breakfast. You can never have tooo much bacon,---bacon -- bacon -- bacon!!! For the wine and cheese we will bring spinach dip again, that seemed to go pretty good, and Wine of course, and plenty of plastic cups. Just kidding Joan. For the pot luck -- will be posted at a later date. Might do the meatballs and sausage in tomato gravy again, but not sure right now.

Only Italians call tomato sauce "gravy".

Perhaps I'll just bring my grill - simpler and less clean up. Pork shoulder roast for Saturday - maybe beef roast for Friday.

Always American first. That's the way our grandparents wanted it. They were PROUD to be Americans. That is the main reason I can not speak Italian. My grandfather would tell my grandmother, when she would speak Italian, "We are Americans now we speak English". The only time I would hear them speak Italian is when they would disagree with each other.

Unlike some of the immagrants comming into this country now who refuse to assimilate.

Ok -- enough of that,BACK TO FOOD !!
