Kale chips are really easy. Drizzle with olive oil, add a little salt and bake until crisp, but don't over oil or over bake.

Stan -- Don't know what the weather is where your at, but we are about to go back in the freezer. Suppose to go back down to the 20's with the wind chill tommorrow.

Rick & Walt -- What do you make of this weather You guys live in the same part of the country I do. It seems like every time I think the weather is finially going to break it does, it gets cold.

One good thing it got warm long enough for me to cut the path to the camper. Waiting for the crushed stone. No more mud on the 5er

I've been dewinterized for 3 weeks! It sucks having to keep the rig heated.

Stone driveway and parking pad for the rig are in my future also. I have a neighbor that will lend me a hoe and haul the stone for me. Nice neighbor. If I buy him dinner he might even do the excavation for me!

Rick --- Very little top soil where the path is located. Used a Skid loader dug down about 3 inches. Didn't need much, already in the sub-soil and will be running over that path about 12 times a year until I retire. Putting in crushed cement, just as good as 2A modified, but $3.00 cheaper a ton. Getting the crushed cement from Stoltzfus in Leola Pa. $10.99 a ton. I think I will use about 23 ton.

Rick -- Where are you putting your pad Where Nancy & Tony had their camper on your property Comming off the side street. When do you paln on doing that

No, I have corian counter.
As I understand, granite is much more expensive and it has to be "seasoned' occasionally.
The corian counter, today, is much better than when I put mine in...20 years ago.
Go on line and you will get an idea of the many patterns in corian...that would be my choice.
The guy next door priced granite and went with corian....and they will install it for you..[Lowes].

Tommy,

Putting in the path and pad from the road to where my rig is parked...figure on about 8 inches of 2A modified or 2RC. 2RC would get harder.

Make of hoe - I have no idea, He has an excavation business, so whatever he decides to bring. He already ripped out a tree stump for me and filled it with soil - free of charge.

GOOD NEIGHBOR!

Looks like Deb can be there for Saturday dinner. Remember - we are NOT camping - just visiting. I do expect to bring a smoker, however. I will be truly "tailgating"!

Rick- Ant wants me to remind you there is a bath house.

Tommy- apparently Ant is starting to feel the same way about our neighbors and me. after talking with the neighbors we are now working on a joint fence venture, we are pricing out decks, oh and I need a puppy to have in the yard to play with their new puppy.

tommy- unfortunately camping will be limited this year. Between a new fence, a new deck and a week long trip to Disney's Fort Wilderness, the camping budget is a little tight. We will still be making the fall trip this year though. In the meantime a few little local trips plus the occasional adult beverage will have to suffice.Edited by: anaro
