Tony -- We called it step ball in Philly. We also played wall ball. I lived in row homes made of brick. Two homes shared front steps. The area over the steps was pretty big, you trough the ball hit the wall and the kid you were playing with would have to catch it. We used to play with a ball that was air filled, it was called a PIMPLE BALL or STAR BALL That was when kids would actually PLAY OUTSIDE

Wait kids actually played outside??? They didn't just sit and play on the internet and text to the kid sitting next to them???? I don't believe it.

I guess we could consider RVing as outside play for adults. We all have our toys!

We used to use those pink rubber balls made by spaulding. Used the same ones for stick ball also.

Tony -- I still have one of those PIMPLE BALLS in my basement, saved it from when I was a kid.

Stan -- I could go for that barefoot thing also.

Aileen -- my grandkids text each other in the back seat of my truck as we were driving to the campground at the shore.

To everyone can't wait to see you all

I haven't gone barefoot since I was 6 years old and got stung by a bee in the yard. Never will!

Stan -- We found ways to play ball, when we couldn't get our hands on a real ball we would use a 4 inch piece of garden hose and a stick. Needless to say someones dad wasn't real happy about having to fix his garden hose. I lived outside when I was a kid, only came in for dinner and a shower. I'm sure this subject will come up at a campfire

Kickball was a big favorite in our neighborhood. All of the kids in on the street would come outside after supper and gather in the street. We drew bases on the street wiith chalk. Then we picked teams and played until dark. Not much traffic on the road back in those days.

we didn't play kickball. We played manhunt. My mom used to kick me outside in all types of weather. She wanted me out of the house. I was allowed back in for dinner and homework. Oh and when I was in middle school we moved into a house w/a pool. The heater was broken so our job was to run laps around the pool creating a whirlpool type deal. This would warm us up so we wouldn't care how cold the water was. Now that we are grown and there are grandkids using that pool, don't you know the heater got fixed.

But I DO KNOW we're all gonna meet in a few weeks for our new favorite activity. The way I am feeling right now, Thursday night could get a little WILD!

uh oh rick, watch out. Do we need to hide the good alcohol? All though, I know what you mean. I could use a good stress reliever right about now. Our last time out camping was early July. Since then we have closed on a house, moved and are dealing with all the usual little issues involved w/ a new home. Oh and of course work issues to boot and a young kid having trouble adapting to her second kindergarten in just a month. So yes, we will probably be right there with you.

You guys have been busy since I had connection a week ago. White elephant gift exchange sounds great. Stick ball might be too much for some of elder campers. how about a sudoku challenge.

That is one of Anthony's favorites. He was so upset when I made him give up our old beer pongtable (back when the little one was a baby). If we play beer pong, then what about flip cup? I was queen of flip cup in my 20's.
