Frank-

Wish we could have made it to the rally. The talk of the food is making my stomach growl as I'm waiting for lunch here on Main St. Ouray. No Cajun foodhere.Snow level's down to about 100' above town. I'm sure you remember what that looks like...very pretty. Heading for home on Thursday.

You and Joyce would have loved both the people and the food. Ginger is talking about having several a year.. Would it not be something to go to the Texas rally and than follow up with the on in Louisiana. oooo be still my heart.
Yes I remember all that snow, and remembering that I had to move tons of it off the driveway (No Snow blower dad said it was just some thing else to break. On reason I live in the south Where by the way I can camp all year

We pulled in the driveway about 5PM. Not in any hurry as usual. Stopped in Nastytoes or however you say that (abt 45mi N of Alexandria on 49) and bought some more meat pies. Excellent munchies. Two of the grand kids are enjoying the "best beans they ever ate" according to them. Thanks Mr Ray. An absolutely great and laid back weekend, more food than the 20 something people there could eat. Let me tole you dem Cajuns know how to cook. Ronnie (Gingers better half, ducking and grinning) cooked up a bunch of Pastalaya Sat nite. I couldn't figure out what it was until it was explained it was jambalaya made with pasta instead of rice, I think. Absolutely incredible and you would have to try it to believe it.

I think it's great that Ginger is thinking about doing it again. I know her and Ronnie put in a lot of work into this gathering and I sincerely appreciate it.

If she announces another one and you like to eat all I can say is BE THERE.

A big Texas Thank You to all the cooks for an epicurean delight. (how about them big words?)

Meetup at POCHES ......What A FUN Group!
<hr size="1" style="color: rgb209, 209, 225; : rgb209, 209, 225;">

I would have to say Our First Louisiana-Gulf Coast
Rally was a success. WPRam (Harry) hit is on the nail, was like a family or long
time friends. We had 10 reservations and everyone showed up. (8 of 10 one day
early.)
Thanks to Big Ray Sr for having potato stew to greet us when we drove in
on Thursday. Also for the Red Beans and Sausage on Friday.
Saturday Morning:
I walked into the club kitchen, to see 3 people at the stove, cooking grits ,
frying up sausages and breakfast patties, one baking biscuits, another corner
had bacon cooking, and also in another were a couple more cooking dozens of
eggs. We had some pitching in cleaning up as we went, and two coffee pots
brewing... mmm I can still smell it all
Reminded me of my family of 10, only
it was 20 people whom I never met before coming together making contributions to
make this the best ever Club!

Everyone contributed to all meals Friday
and Saturday lunch and supper ---Pulled Pork, Cole slaw, Rolls, variety of
desserts, Pastalaya, fried shrimp and fried fish (that was a surprise lunch
Harry) Fruit Salad, homemade jellies, preserves, and sherbert, cherry bounce,
tangaritas. I know I missed something!

Saturday evening after supper,
the rain came down hard. We were all quite comfortable in the club house sharing
stories and getting to know each other, Had a card game going, Had some extra
guests to have dinner with us. We had several cameras going too.
Sunday morning was
pack up and I don't think anyone said bye, but safe travels and we will see you
at the next one.
I just have to say, Had much fun planning, but certainly blessed with the best ever attendees. Please pass the word will plan another one soon. You guys can suggest dates! , but lets do it soon!

Thanks to everyone for making this a success.

Group Name is
Louisiana - Gulf Coast
My thought was to include the Gulf Coast area. This is not restricted to the Louisiana area. We had the pleasure of Mississippi and Texas RVers
Again I cant express how much I enjoyed meeting everyone
