Awning arms

Howdy folks. One of my awning arms got wrecked when we were camping a couple of months ago.
I found a name ( Carefree) on one of the arms. They are Carefree of Colorado by the way. Come to find out , the arms on my Sunset Trail 288BH are their Longitude model which they are no longer making. I will have to purchase their newer Compass arms they now make?
I have a couple of questions for you all.
Firstly Has anyone here had to make this change?
Secondly. Will these arms bolt directly where the old ones are/were?
Thirdly. Will the wiring be the same? Cut/splice/solder/shrink tube. Etc
Thanks in advance for any help I can get on this. 👍
I did indeed look here and elsewhere (carefree) etc ,but couldn’t find any definitive answers.

I would call Carefree and ask..

I've had to replace Dometic awning arms. It was pretty straightforward. The mounting hardware was a little difficult to source as I bought some arms used and they didn't come with hardware.

You could try finding them used. I bought mine off FleaBay.

You could check with a few online Rv supply stores that may have the old one in stock.

I checked with 3 local (50mi rad)Rv centers. I’ve ordered the Compass arms to replace the Longitude arms. Should be no problem. Oh. And I’ll have a drive side Longitude arm for sale too. *♂️ Gotta recoup some of this if I can. Be safe!
