Larry, I may be wrong but I think they only make 2" or 4". I bought a roll of 4X50 from Amazon.

I'm surprised they have the 3" tape. They don't even advertize 3" on the Eternabond website.
Guess we were wrong.

A few years back I did every seam on the roof of my coach, especially where the front and rear caps meet the rubber..I even did around the shower sky light, I have never done another thing to the roof and I have never had any kind of water leak...well worth the expense and time it takes....

I have not the weather here to enable making the rapair yet. My plan is to remove all the goop and intentionally lap it a couple inches onto the front cap. I will strike a line to keep it even. I bought tan tape and feel it will look OK. (Can't look worse than the faded gel coat!) My plan is to stop the leaking, permanently! Just read the "Why Quality Control at the factory will never be good" thread. I have a list a mile long of things I plan to redo, the right way. Remember "Quality is the Enemy of Production"!

Quick question on this tape,
Is this something I should keep in my emergency tool kit in case I have an issue when camping/traveling?

If you ever have the misfortune of backing in under some low hanging tree limbs and damage the roof, you will be very happy if you have some along.

I got a roll of 4X25. It did the front cap where it meets the roof. Lapping a couple inches on to each. I wanted that sealed up before anything started happening.
If you are just looking for something to carry for a little insurance, you probably wouldn't need much. Might even be able to stop in at your local RV dealer and buy a few feet from them.

Would you use this on a new RV as preventative?

I would.
An ounce of prevention is worth way more then a pound of cure in this case.

Absolutely! Dicor lap sealant needs to be checked and replaced minumum annually and it would be better semi-annually. Anywhere flexing takes places is especially hard on lap sealant. EternaBond will not eliminate inspections, but it will sure lessen repairs.
