Hail Storm Damage

We experienced a hail storm and the remnants of a tornado here in Virginia. Unfortunately we sustained some damage to the siding on our CR 291RL Z-1. It's not so significant that it's an eye sore or detracts from it.

We have not put in a claim for insurance as of yet. We notified them but did not do a claim. We are having an estimate done for replacing the damaged siding. Has anyone experienced this as well? Is it worth having the siding replaced?

Had hail damage to the siding once and the estimate was several thousand dollars. Insurance paid the claim but I didn't get it repaired. Be sure to check the roof vents for damage.

Downside of not getting it repaired is the trade in value if you should decide to trade it in in the future

I agree. But we plan on having this TT for a while. Although the damage is noticeable, it's not horrendous.

Checked all that as well. Just the siding was damaged. But unfortunately we had another hail storm today. But we got lucky. This crazy weather has given us a few out of season tornadoes and bad storms.

This represents what the entire TT looks like. But the sides and back are difficult to see the dents because of the color.

Can't really see the damage on the picture post...If you come to the Mason/Dixon Rally in October at Americamp RV Resort Va. we'll take a good look at it in person...

I hope you weren't offended by my post...I thought it would be clever way to invite you both to the Mason/Dixon Rally since it is an open rally and also happens to be held in your home state...Some times things I write can be interpreted differently than they were intended...

No. Not at all offended. It takes a great deal to offend us. I had not been online for a few days dealing with work and some other issues. We also had taken a short trip and decided to disconnect while away. That was Kathy's idea to disconnect.

We would like to go to the rally, but we have a 10 day trip planned with the RV for those dates.

SleepyT, We are covered by insurance. We also have gap insurance. They are talking about a total loss. But we will keep it regardless. Nothing wrong with it except for the dents that are hardly noticeable. It's just a matter of negotiating with the insurance on what they want for it when they pay it out to the lender.

$9,900.00 of that is just labor.

So easy for things to end up badly in the RV world...So glad your going to end up Right-side-up instead of Up-side-down on this thing...Good News...

We never gave it a second thought about gap insurance or full coverage. We just won't get full value or even close if we decide to use it for a trade.
