I have checked all the fuses and all the breakers and all work. I did check my old element and it was bad, so I replaced it, but it still doesn't fire unless I jump the switch with a hot wire. This happened last spring after I opened it up after winter. Everything worked but I left on the waste tank heater and when I came back after 3 weeks, the hot water heater did not work. I tried a new board, new eco stat, etc. Then I checked the switch and thought that was it, but there is no power to the switch. I then checked all the fuses and breakers, all are fine. I had a repairman look at it and he thought he had voltage at the heater but not enough to kick it on?? He wanted to trace the wire back from the heater but he hasn't been back. I don't know what else to check. I can send a pic of the back of the heater if that would help you see anything...thanks for answering.
