Weather sealing question

Hey all, Just posted my intro and since I have been already digging into some repairs due to water infiltration I wonder if anyone in a similar situation has tried the screws for metal roofing that have a gasket built into them for areas like the side metal trim or front trim seams? Seems to me if it works on a roof, it should seal on a camper.

I got some to try so we'll see if it works or not down the road.
