What is this?

Whats this for? Sorry everyone i am new to 5th wheels and the user manuals are not that great.

Pretty sure it’s the mechanical mechanism for a slide out. You should have a crank handle for it.

I agree. It should work the slide on opposite side of unit from where the hole is.

I have something similar on my new Grand Design. It's to lower the spare tire.

If you can see a spare tire under the camper in that spot then that is what is would be for but if it goes thru the frame and is opposite of a slide then it would be to crank in the slide if the motor failed. Both use the same Handle/Crank.

The first picture was taken with the camera or cell phone pointing up toward the sky, which shows the pipe that is actually under the slide...It is the manual mechanism to retract the slide if the motor fails...
