Wiring question

I am working on a new to me 2006 cruiser cf28rl, it has a fan tastic vent in the bedroom. I don't seem to be getting power to the unit. It has the automatic open feature. When you turn it on it does nothing. I have changed the fuse to no avail. Does anyone know where the power feed comes from? I think it might be running off the light that is close to it but I haven't taken the light down yet to find out.

Since those fans were not stock, the wiring is going to be something that was probably pulled in from a nearby fixture.
You should just be able to remove the vent trim and get to the wiring. Then meter it.

Does the light that is close to it work? You may have to pull the trim down from the fan and find the wiring.

If it is near a light which has a wall switch, you may need to turn the wall switch on. They may have pulled the power from the light.

Just throwing things out there if it is like mine the fan will not get power with the lid closed at the vent in order for the auto open to work you have to pull or push the vent knob to engage the auto feature then turn it on at the thermostat control on the wall. Not saying you have the same but that’s what I have.
