We went to that area last year. We stayed at The Villages at Turning Stone. It is a resort associated with the casino. It was a very nice resort if that is the kinda place you are looking for. Large sites. nice pool, ice cream store, all paved roads and site pads. Nice playgrounds and paddle boats. We enjoyed the caverns and also visited some of the area waterfalls. Took a ride up to a castle that is on its own island that you take a ferry to (sorry don't remember the name). Here are some pics of the trip:
Where did you hear that OCC is out of business? The old man is suing Paul Jr. and they lost the TLC contract, but I didn't know the company is out of business.
The OCC website said they are open for business. They could be open by the time you get up there, give them a call and go see the bikes.......maybe for the last time.Who knows, they might be having a clearance sale!
- Spending a few days in the Lake Placid KOA, then heading towards NYC and staying at the Black Bear Campground, outside of NYC. Then hitting the Country Road Campground up near Gilboa, NY for a couple days.
