Brake Controller

I got a new 2021 Silverado with after market controller, had a 2010 F150 with factory controller. Brakes worked great with old Ford. Controller on new truck. the gain will increase to max setting with light touch of brakes over time. Makes me go nuts, cannot seem to adjust gain for stable braking. Slow response on emergency braking. Anyone have a clue, sticker on controller shows "Cequent".

I will try tonight to find a part number.

Thanks Charley

You spent many thousands of dollars on your truck and RV. A good reliable brake controller is not a place to get frugal. You and your family are worth a reliable brake system, right?
Get a known brand name brake controller, or get the GM brand for in dash mount.

Pretty sure you cannot add a GM controller in the truck that didn’t have it in the first place. Tekonsha seems to be the choice of aftermarket controllers out there.

Brake Controller

It needs the JL1 RPO code in order to add it.
