Question Fifth wheel clearance

My camper looks kinda low to the truck bed rail. What should be the minimum and maximum clearance to the bed rail?
Thanks in advance.

What's ideal is to have your camper sitting level front to back when hooked up and both the camper and the truck are sitting on level ground.
Then like Mark said -- 6 in. min. between truck and camper.
