WHY

Why, after I have typed a reply, I enter it and it disappears? Is there any way to recover it. I tire of all the typing that I loose. Is there a remedy besides typing faster?

I'm not aware of this happening. Does anyone else have a problem like this?? Please contact one of the forum moderators if this is happening to you.

I do know that if your login time runs out when you finish a reply, you are not logged in and it will not post. To avoid this problem, when you log in check the "remember me" box next to your login name.

It shouldn't make any difference whether you're using an I-Pad or something else.
Like Mark said, if you're not checking the remember me box in the upper right hand corner, then you will be signed out after a certain amount of time.

That is what I'm using also.
Just check the remember me box and you should be OK.

It happens here on this computer it has windows 8 with the crome google do not have that problem on my lap top

This is usually a cookie problem.

If you are having problems logging in, staying logged in, getting logged out at page changes, you are getting logged out when you change pages on the site.

Steps to fix this issue (not all may be needed):

Empty your temp internet files (browsing history),
Delete the Crossroads cookies,
Clear your cache,
Log out.
Log back in and click the “Remember Me” button.

If you are still having trouble, you may need to specifically enable cookie exchange with the forum in your browser settings or set your system security setting to med-high.

You may need to close your browser or reboot your computer.

I use an iPad for all my replies and have never had a problem posting.My remember me box is checked too.

My replies will disappear if I toggle to a different tab and come back. This is usually due to a page automatically refreshing and happens on my kindle. I will usually copy it so I can paste it back if I go back and it refreshes.
