Why would you EVER spoil Vitamin "Y" with liver and lima beans? YUCK.

I buy liver and lima beans just to throw them away to save someone else from the torture of eating them!

Well we might not be able to make it to the rally. Knee replacement surgery will take place on Oct. 25. There are test and doctors appts. before that date that they will let me know about the dates. Getting in and out of the RV is very difficult for me so we will see what we are going to do. We will be canceling our trip to Florida Will let you all know.

Hi everyone,

We can't wait to see everyone! Hey Rick I got a smoker over the summer but have not tried it out would love to learn from the expert. What do you suggest we bring to cook and wat do we need? Nancy will make side dish of either macaroni and cheese, home made apple sauce and home made cornbread. If anything else let us know.

Hey Walt when is next year's rally at Gettysburg? I need the dates if you know them offhand.

We will be arriving on Thursday early afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Hi. Getting excited about the rally. I think we will bring amish macaroni salad, some chocolate chip cookies and I am thinking about cooking up some ribs. We will probably bring the waffle maker and batter for breakfast.

Looks like we'll be SMOKIN!

I'll get a list of must-have stuff together an post again in the next day or so.

I'll do another turkey.

Stan - pork shoulder roast or bork butt - OK?

Tony - do you want to do beef or chicken? Chicken is a little easier but beef brisket is soooooooooo good.

SMOKIN' Essentials:

Wood chips or chunks (Apple, Hickory, Mesquite, Oak)

Charcoal (enough to keep the fire going - 5 hrs. for chicken pieces - 8 hours for roasts or whole birds)

Beer or wine to add to the water pan for flavor

PAM to spray on your grills and water pan before starting

Rub and seasonings to put on the meat before smoking

Enough beer or other preferred beverage to keep you hydrated during the long day of watching the smoker closely. It's a rough job but somebody's got to do it!

Heh Ladies-Nancy here.
While the "boys" are drinking, oh I mean cooking, what are we going to do. How about a shopping binge.

Good grief! You guys are going to have enough meat to feed the whole campground!! Thanks Walt about the rocking chair. That's about the speed of things these days. Looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting everyone new. See you all on Thursday.
