Joe - what type of "beast" do you prefer? Stan and I should coordinate for variety.

I was partial to the smoked pig, but the turkey was really good also. Don't think you could be wrong no matter which way you go.

OK - different approach...

Stan - what do you prefer to smoke?

I will probably be limited to smoking on Saturday because it will be too late by the time I get there on Friday.

According tothe campgroundwebsite you are not allowed to bring in firewood, it must be purchased there.

Anaro....I believe it depends on the state and or county you are from. ( US Forest Service Rules)..we have always taken wood there as we don't live very far from there anyway...and we are not in the restricted counties in VA...they have never said anything to us before...so we will give it a try....

Sola- I guess I misread the rules. We will probably just buy there to avoid any issues since we have to buy our firewood either way. Just another downside to living in an HOA neighborhood.

Tommy...we ended up with 7 3/4 inches all together....some of the smaller creeks flooded over their banks...a few trees fell over..the leak in our roof wasn't to bad not a great thing to find....basement didn't flood near as expected..so my gutter work must have done some good ..it nice to live on a hill....it seemed most damage and real flooding was primarily east and north of us....

If I can find a turkey I'll do that again. I'll do it with a southwest flavor this time though.

Do you want to do a pork shoulder roast?

Walt - no limas for me. They're in the same category as liver in my book.

Deer liver and onions with a side of lima beans, now that sounds good.
