I bought a 5th wheel that is 50 amp. What do I need to tell the electrician, I want to access the houses electricity but don't know what is needed. I have heard some horror stories of electricians burning up electronics on rvs and want to make sure this doesn't happen. Thanks.
Show him/her this: To an electrician, it's the same as a modern dryer outlet. The horror stories are from the 30 amp outlet, which some mistake for 240 volt. This is very straightforward.
U will love it. We park our rv next to house. Had electrician install 30 amp receptacle for about $150, including material. Our panel was in perfect position, so didn't have to run any wiring, just add a box next to main breaker. Having a/c when loading, unloading, puttering with etc, makes it nice
