We are leaving Friday for Colorado/Utah/Arizona/New Mexico. I could update as we go so you won't get withdrawal if you want. We will be gone till the end of October.

Thanks WWW for all the great info. This is something my wife and are planning on doing. We are carving our way across the US a little at a time each year. This is very helpful when planning for the bigger trips.

I must have been too busy getting the trailer tire fixed there at KalTire when I picked up a screw. I'll remember for next time.

WWW thanks for all the wonderful info. While this is a trip I want to make, I also realize it is not for everyone based on equipment. I have a 16K Reese and a standard hitch pin. From what I've read and what you went through those of us without the proper equipment would experience a less than enjoyable trip. I know even in the lower 48 I have experienced that. But, taking this trip through your eyes has been enlightening and enjoyable. Thanks so much.

Travel well, travel safe,
Jim
