Self tapping screws through coroplast?

After losing my second rear bumper mounted sewer storage tube to curbs and general "oops" moments, I've decided to mount a new storage tube on the undercarriage in between the dump valve and rear trailer wheel.

Is there any way to determine where to drill into a cross beam other than cutting back the coroplast? Drilling the first bracket is no problem since I can see it, the bracket under the coach will be blind because of the coroplast. I also wouldn't want to hit any wires, tanks, plumbing etc.

Any recommendations are appreciated!

I used a square (I think 5 in.) plastic fence post. Bought it at Menards.
They also have caps you can buy. I used one to make an end on the post. I modified another one and used it for the door on the other end.
The post is long enough to reach all the way across the trailer underneath. In fact I think I had to cut some off.

I used handy strap and bolted it to the frame. Just drill the outside lip and use bolts instead of self tappers. No need for any support in the middle.
This thing has been under there for almost as long as I've had the trailer.

I drilled holes in the ends for venting and some in the bottom to let anything that was in the hose escape.

I did exactly the same thing after seeing a similar post awhile back (it may have been Lloyds post, in fact) Great fix, and never have to worry about my old "under the rear bumper" tube bottoming out again.

That's a nice set up Lloyd. Unfortunately I already purchased the Valterra 6" carrier.

Do you have room to mount the Valterra on top of the rear bumper? I was able to do that on one of my previous units.

I just used the bolts holding the colorfast to the frame and strapping for both sides. Made mine out of 6" ABS plumbers pipe with a cap and screw cap. No hassle no guesswork as the bolts used go back in the same holes. I also built a 4" tube to hold all my campfire forks. Just cut the tube long enough to across both frames
