Thank you for the detailed explanation. I get it now. You’re awesome. We are getting. New trailer and I’m hoping we can put the camera on this one. We never did with the last one. Hoping to save a lot of “forgive me for what I said when you were parking the trailer” moments. Ha!

Just an FYI. The 4.3” Furrion camera does not support the side marker lamp cameras. Only the bigger screens do. I have the 4.3” and my 5th wheel camper is prepped for rear and side cameras. I use it to hitch up the boat and to watch it while travelling.

You don't have to break the bank to do it. I used a cheap backup camera that was wired to a wireless transmitter in the front of my camper.

I think I might've had $50-100 into it.

For those who've installed wired systems in trailers that come with rear camera prep: As the Furrion prep provides the power, you'll need to run the video cable. How did you run that cable from the mount at the rear of the trailer? Looking for a seamless idea with minimal drilling in my new trailer to get that cable from the mount to underneath the trailer.

I installed a system from RVS on my previous Sunset Trail. This post shows how I ran the wiring along the frame.
