Awesome! I hope the slide height is for all floorplans as I have to bend over to get into mine. I am over six feet. Thank you for the updates! I Googled a 2011 and found actual pictures from a dealer with a new one. I can wait for the new outdoor kitchen model to come out!

I forgot to mention they no longer had a entertainment center in the 2011,Be able to put a larger tv in now.At least in my model.

Very nice looking unit, but when they get 12ft. and over, that immediately leaves me out.
Our 5er is 11ft. 8in. and that is what "initially" drew us to it.
Has to fit through my 12ft. door!!

I'm with you farmer, I don't like the additional height on the coach itself. The flush floor would be nice, but for me I'd rather have it under 12' too. Don't like the additional weight either. That was another thing that drew me to the Cruisers.

As far as the additional height goes, the way I understand, it ONLY comes with the models they make as patriot/provincial. To my knowledge that's the 28RL, 30SK, 31RE & 32CK models.

I was interested in ordering a new 2011 CF28RL Patrioit Edition but if they change the exterior height to over 12' , I will pass. My storage unit has 12' clearance and I don't want to have to store it outside. I guess I will try to find a 2010 somewhere or start looking at something other than Crossroads.

Since the new Patriot additions are pushing twelve and a half feet and several hundred pounds more weight, I am wondering if they will start to affect the sale of some of the smaller Kingston floorplans. Getting to where there may not be a lot of difference.

I think it's a fine line in pleasing everyone. I for one don't care about the height as long as it makes it under a bridge on the highway. In this area storing inside is pretty rare, so at least in my area it isn't even a consideration. As a six foot something person I'm pleased they are working on slide heights and bedroom heights. Look around at similar mid profile units from Keystone and Heartland you'll find they are all north of 12'.

Example, the Heartland floor plans that are clones of the Crossroads I just looked at are 12'4-7" and between 8-9.5k in weight as built.

Yup, they are probably north of 12FT. That's why I don't own one like that.
I'm not over 6 ft. and don't need the extra height. I just need it to fit in my storage garage.

I never even thought about the height of our unit prior to purchase, even to this date I still don't know the height.. I'm guessing about 12'6" from top the a/c. For us both we would welcome the additional height, as the additional height and weight aren't going to mean squat in mileage.

I could see CR streamlining the complete product offerings making the CTX series more the mid profile series removing Kingston completely and allowing upgrades to the Cruiser series to more compete with what is currently Kingston. The auto dealers have done or are doing it. Pontiac & Olds gone, Mercury will gone over this year and next.

I'm not hijacking this thread but I just wanted to make a comment regarding height. The first thing I did was measure the height hooked up to my TV. After that I made up a label and put it on my sun visor. That way if I ever see a low clearance the has the height posted on it I glance at the label (remember I'm old and forgetful) and then proceed if OK. I also have the height of my TV just in case I'm driving it without the 5er and come to one of those really low parking garages.

Right now the Kingston is in the same price range as Keystone's Montana, and badly needs an upgrade to be viable. It's not so much that the Montanas are better for the money as that they offer features that buyers simply cannot get with Kingstons, such as 12 cubic foot refrigerators, generator and washer/dryer prep., etc.

I agree, to me the Kingston was DOA with the price they ask and lack of features against the Montana and others. The Cruiser really bridges a wide price and feature range!

Just bought a 30SKP today. Our first 5th wheel. We've had 2 Sunset Trails prior.The Patriot package is shot full of really nice goodies. The gel coat, bigger wheels & tires, pin box,Corian counter tops, freestanding table & chairs, electric awning, ceiling fan on & on. It bumps up the price and bumps up the weight, but starting fairly light weight in it's class gets us a really nice 5er that we can tow with a 3/4 ton truck. We'll store outside with a cover. Yes, we do have to watch for low hanging tree limbs, brifges, etc.

The CF30SKP does not seem to have the large kitchen drawers that we have in the Sunset Trail. Where do you store large fry pans, gridles and such cookware? The Sunset Trail also had a pantry. When I ask the dealer where we storetall boxes of breakfast cereal he gets a blank look. Would love to know what you store where in the CF30SKP kitchen. We are also loosing the large storage that we hadunder the dinette seats. We are gaining more smaller compartments. We are accepting this as challenge, not a deal breaker and are looking forward to a lot of fun traveling.

We store cereal boxes on their side in the upper right hand cabinet top shelf. We store pots and pans under the sink on the two shelves.

I'd appreciate if, when Crossroads releases information on new Cruiser models, if someone would bive us a heads-up about in this Cruiser forum section. I am especially interested in generator-ready models, or a Patriot edition rear-kitchen model.

Yep under the sink and in the oven. My DW does not use the oven so makes good storage for fry pans.

Weattended the`2010 Indiana Rally for Crossroads this July & went through the factory tour on how the trailers are made. after that there were so many different models to view & compareit was like going to an RV show! We saw the one you are speaking about & its a great looking one. we own a 30 ft travel trailer crusier by Crossroads and are considering an upgrade to the 5th wheel cruiser. Karen & LArry Serantoni
