How much air pressure on trailer Load range E tires.

My dealer recommend 10 psi (60 psi)per lug nut. The tires are stamp with 80 psi max cold.

Any tire experts out there?

I run my E's at 75 psi. I think 60 psi would be way under inflated and could cause some heating problems.

I wounder if he runs his car at 50 PSI? Go by what the tire is rated for a little lighter if the trailer is light (for a softer ride).

The weight rating is based on the tire at full inflation--what is printed on the tire--with under inflation the tire may over heat and be destroyed.I would keep them near their intended max inflation and then you don't have to worry as much about the weight. If you run them under inflated get a little to much weight on them (which who knows what the weight limit is when they are under inflated)you won't like the results.
