Satellite install

Behind our TV are two coaxial connection boxes; one is for the antennae since it has the booster switch. What is the other for? I don't know if it is only for satellite, only for cable, or does it do either depending upon to which connection it's hooked to in the "basement area (cable or satellite)? Or does it sent the signal back to the coaxial connector back in the bedroom? Thanks!

On my last Sunset trail, one was for cable and Antenna, the second was for satellite hook up. If you are using cable, be sure to turn off the antenna booster otherwise you will likely get poor or no service.

When I installed my satellite connections I had to split the cable behind the booster plate in order to get sat to the bedroom. In 2008, CR ran a sat cable from the outside connector only to the entertainment center. The other cable connection at the outside connector goes to the booster and then out of the booster goes to the bedroom and the outside TV connection. Since My sat signal from the receiver to the bedroom was SD anyway, I just spliced it into the cable going to the bedroom. I had access to the booster hookups behind a wall so it made splitting/splicing much easier.

Stan, so the cable and satellite connections in the compartment just above the sewer dump valves are to connect INCOMING wires and the coaxial connection on the other sidewall by the door is only for a supplemental outdoor TV? Too bad this unit didn't come with a descriptive manual

I believe that is correct. If you look at the plate for the incoming cable it should read one for sat and one for cable - yes it's hard to see it! The opposite side is just for an outside TV. Correct on the manual! You can download a booster manual if you can find a name and model for your specific booster.
