slide adjustment
our kitchen slide damaged and or sliced the flooring in the kitchen area, about 1 inch slice, i looked under the slide, and the locking nut for the horizontal adjustment bolt was about an inch down from where it should be. i was able to adjust the slide, and tighten the nut, then i checked the other bolts on the slides, all of the bolts/nuts on this slide were not very tight, maybe i should have checked these before this happened, if anyone else has not checked theirs, it may be a good idea to. any thoughts on how to repair a slice in vinyl flooring?

BTW, did you use some Loctite on the nuts so they will not migrate off again.
If you could post a pic of the damage to the vinyl, we might be able to offer some solutions. Thanks.

If under warranty let them replace it. If not, you can go to Lowes, HD, they have glue in a syringe used to fix all kinds of laminates.

Agree with Tim D. Also, you should try heating the laminate with a hair dryer and try to work it back together and then apply the glue.

That would help make it more pliable and probably less noticeable. Glue it, cover with wax paper, and place something heavy on it. Resist the urge to keep checking on it.

AZCAMPER... how did you lift the slide to get it back into alignment? How did you know how high to lift it? I may need to do this as well.

The first thing I would do is contact CR and have them send you a piece of vinyl that will match that block in your picture. Next go to "THIS OLD HOUSE" web site and type in repair damage vinyl floor. Tom Sylva has a step by step tutorial on how to do it. If you cannot find it PM me

thank you for the suggestions, i will try to repair,or may get a square from cr.
Stan, to raise you just turn the bolt, then lock with the nut ,very easy,as for how much, there is a weather strip that is mounted below the slide, it was buckled due to how low the slide was in the front, i just matched the distance to the rear portion of the slide
