Stand Up Shower Faucet Replacement

Hello All,

Been camping for 15 years with different brands but just purchased a new '22 ST 253RB. Lots of good info on these forums.

A question on a mod that I think should be easy. The stand-up shower doesn't have a spout like a traditional tub faucet. When you turn on the water, the only choice is for it to come through the shower. We're used to running the water through the faucet to get it to the perfect temp before turning on the shower.

Anyone change out the faucet set up and replace it with bathtub type faucet with the lever you lift up to route the water to the shower? 4 screws hold on the plate with the water valves. Is that standard that can be replaced with a faucet?

A minor issue I know but the better half likes things the way she likes them!

Using residential type fixtures is usually straightforward, just make sure your plumbing is and hole sizes match. I like to take the old fixture with me to my favorite home improvement store.
Having said that, we all need to run the water to get hot water to the fixture. My shower has that same fixture, but is up belly high in the shower, so having a faucet would do no good. Ours has a hose to the shower head, so we take the shower head down and point it toward the drain, adjust the water, and there we are!
