Brought the tt home and washed it today. Now she's all shiny and pretty and ready for Thurs... Well almost, we ran out of daylight so a quick wax tomorrow morning will finish it off.

Washed our rig also yesterday. Aileen I am interested as to how you do a quick wax, as it takes me all day to wax our 5er. You know "WAX ON---WAX OFF. I use Turtle Wax Ice and think that goes on and comes off pretty easy. If you have something easier I'd like to hear about it. Edited by: sleepyT

This is Dawn, Scott's wife. We are looking forward to meeting you all this weekend. I was wondering about the White Elephant exchange. What sort of items typically are exchanged and is there a dollar limit? I wasn't sure what to purchase so I thought that I would ask.

The limit is twenty-five dollars. As far as the gift ,it could be a "NICE GIFT" or it could be a "GAG GIFT" It's up to you what the gift is.

Tommy- maguires spray on wax. Took me 2 hours to wax it by myself this morning. It takes us all day to wash it though. Seems a little backwards but black streaks are no fun to remove.

Dawn I have seen leftover hand me downs from houses, garden flags, hand made wind chimes and gag gifts and many other things.

You are going to love me after I give you the name of this stuff that will take all your black streaks off with little to no effort. Tony found it at the Hershey RV show last year, turned me on to it, and I've been useing it ever since. The name of the stuff is " SCRICHIT ". Their web site is www.scrichit.com

Tommy - I thought the limit was $500,000 so someone could give a DP coach if they wanted to. LOL

Seriously - I thought the limit is $5.00 per person. Each person needs to bring a "gift" if they want to participate. Nice gifts or gag gifts are OK.I have a 1972 Ford Pinto headlight to give away.

shhhh rick, I'm still waiting for someone to give me a nice 5er. So far I've gotten 5er wind chimes but no 5er.


We have been using compound and buffing the black streaks out. it works well but is hard work and takes all day.


Tommy- the only reason Anthony wasn't helping me wax the TT is because he was home manning the smoker for this afternoons BBQ at the neighbors.

I will wax your 5er for a flat fee of $45,000. As that is what it will take to get me my new 5er. I will also accept a newer, stronger, healthier diesel or a newer 5er in trade for my services.Edited by: anaro

Tommy-I briefly checked it out. Probably look into it a bit later.Hey a 2012 f350 with newly repaired bed rails and a 2013 cruiser 335 for the price of waxing a 5er. Wish I could really talk a dealer into that kind of deal. Or maybe I should throw my neighbor who details cars in the trailer and let him go to work during the rally.

Rick- I thought it was around 20-30 but then again I thought it was per trailer. I guess we all need to review the rules. I'll run grab another gift this week.Edited by: anaro

When the factory rally was being planned this past summer, I kept seeing information about a product called SOLVIT. Everyone was ordering 1 or 2 from the guy who lived in Wisconsin and was bringing it to the rally. He wound up bringing several dozen containers. We were lucky enough to snag one that he had extra. It is an absolutely great product. Everyone swore by it for removing black streaks, to clean the roof, etc. Since he picked up the product from the manufacturer, we got it for $5 per container.

Here is the information if anyone is interested in ordering: Case=$27 + shipping ($14 to VA) with 6 2 lb containers per case. Each container makes 52 gallons of cleaner. You can use it to clean your floors, carpets, inside/outside.
