No liver for me...smoked or otherwise...
I'm thinking marinated, grilled beef roast for Friday dinner...as haphazard as it may be...

I just saw that you posted who is coming and what sites. You can add Scott and Jean Harrison arriving on Friday midday (do not know site) and another newbie Bob Smith and his wife also on Friday midday (don't know site or wife's name).
I have 4 bundles of wood I am bringing.
We'll have to work extra hard to empty some bottles for candle holders for all of the tables we'll need. Total of 13 sites and at least 25 people.Edited by: RKamperRV

I read on here somewhere that some one else is going to bring sausage for breakfast so for a little diversity I will bring scrapple. The Southern campers may or may not know what that is, but us Pa. campers do.
Getten ready to leave see you all later.

I had an adventurous and stressful ride home. And...it's all Tony's fault! I will never again discuss serpentine belts, or any other truck part. It's guaranteed to cause problems!
I was about 30 miles up the road toward home when the tensioner pulley on the serpentine belt system BROKE! No alternator, no power steering, no power brakes, no water pump. I pulled over, checked it out, and then continued on hoping to make it to a truck stop, rest stop, or campground. I turned everything off that I could to help save power.
As I drove I noticed that the water temp and tranny temp did not go up...probably because it was a cool day. The engine kept running and the voltage indicator did not show a measurable voltage drop. Diesel engines to not need electricity to run, only fuel and compression...but the fuel pump is electric.
Long story short...I made it home...180 miles! It was a B***** to steer and stop. The water temp never went above 190. The tranny got to 200 when I was in slower traffic but came down once I was moving again.
The truck will be fixed today. I asked my mechanic about the water temp. I thought the water pump might have been connected directly to the crankshaft, but it is not. His theory is that the cooling system continued to work by convection alone. Thank goodness it was not a hot day.
Anyway, thanks to all for an otherwise great weekend. Cyall in the spring!
